InvestED has been partnering with school districts across Washington State for 60 years. Our program is built on trusting the educators to make the best decision for students, and we have not wavered on that simple philosophy since our founding in 1963.

InvestED provides immediate financial support to nearly 700 partner schools, and we require every dollar be spent on impacting students in need. We aim to help students Get to School, Engage in School, and Graduate.

We believe that small acts of kindness can change the world.

Each year, InvestED has nearly 2,000 local educators helping distribute our funding to students who need extra support. Our hard-working School Coordinators are empowered to identify children who are experiencing financial hardships and immediately access funds through the schools' InvestED accounts to help students. No paperwork is required and the student doesn’t need to be on free and reduced lunch to qualify.

InvestED provides public schools with additional funding to help cover costs for ASB cards and supplemental workbooks; warm coats and clothing; test fees and health expenses; band equipment and college applications; sports equipment and graduation fees; remote learning support and much more.

Those are just a few of the ways InvestED helps every day. We are grateful to all of our generous donors, sponsors, and partners who help make this work possible!

Step One

All Partner Schools receive an IInvestED School Funding check in August and January, automatically.

Step Two

InvestED and Schools raise more money throughout the year.

Step Three

Schools must submit a Year-End Report and spend 90-100% of their InvestED School Funding check by June 30th of each year.

At InvestED, we help bridge the gap between what families can afford, what schools can support, and what students urgently need. By donating to InvestED, you can help impact children’s lives.

At the beginning of each school year, InvestED provides funding to partner secondary schools. During the year, local school personnel trained as InvestED coordinators help individual students in need. InvestED funds can be used to cover costs for academic fees, sports equipment, activity fees, renting musical instruments, field trips, clothing, basic needs and much more.

During the 2022-23 school year, InvestED provided nearly $825,000 in program support to nearly 700 partner schools, and assisted over 47,000 students in need of urgent support.
